GENELINK ADDS KEY MEMBER TO ITS MEDICAL BOARD

Margate, NJ, August 15, 2002-GeneLink BioSciences, Inc. (OTCBB:GNLK), a biosciences
company that has developed genetic assessments for customizing nutritional
and skin care regimens, announced today that it has entered into an agreement
with Robert J. Schwarzberg, M.D., F.A.C.C. to serve as a medical consultant
to the Company. He will assist and coordinate all medical issues relating
to GeneLink's genetic assessment of cardiovascular health as GeneLink rolls
out its genetic profiling technologies program.
Dr. Schwarzberg is a board certified cardiologist and fellow of the American
College of Cardiology. He received his medical degree from Wayne State
University and B.A. from Columbia University. Dr. Schwarzberg brings extensive
experience in telemedicine and disease management to this position. He
has been a leader in the telemedicine industry since 1989. As Chairman
and Medical Director of Cardiolife, a national cardiac monitoring company,
Dr. Schwarzberg was instrumental in its business and technology development
from a startup to $18M in revenue with substantial intellectual property
including a patent he authored on a hybrid smart event recorder. In 1996,
he became Chief Medical Officer of Ralin Medical and its subsidiaries -
Cardiac Solutions (now CorSolutions) and LifeWatch. Dr. Schwarzberg is
currently CMO of LifeWatch, the largest arrhythmia management company in
the United States.
